Every year thousands of tourists travel to Berlin to visit the approximately 60 Christmas markets throughout the city. On December 19, 2016, an ISIS supporter drove a truck into the crowd at Breitscheidplatz killing 12 people and injuring 56 others.
Lukasz Urban
Lukasz, 37, fought the terrorist that hijacked his truck. He battled for the control of the steering wheel despite being beaten and stabbed. Lukasz was described by his company manager as an honest, good and quiet person.
Dalia Elyakim
Sixty-year-old Dalia was an Israeli tourist. She was at the christmas market with her husband who survived the attack.
Fabrizia di Lorenzo
Fabrizia, 31, was an Italian citizen. She was visiting the christmas market while on vacation when she was killed.
