19 year-old Abinta was a gifted business student at Emory University. Abinta had many friends and family members, but she was especially close to her mother. She was in Bangladesh visiting family and friends.

Rabiul, 34, was a Bangledesh citizen. He was the assistant commissioner of the dectective branch of the local police department. He was killed while trying to rescue hostages from the cafe. He was known to many as a caring and selfless individual. He created a school for disabled children and funded the costs to keep the school operational for its 36 students.

Salauddin, 49, was the officer in charge of the Bannani police department. He was killed in the line of duty during the attack.

Tarishi was a 19-year-old Indian citizen who was studying economics at the University of California, Berkeley. Tarishi participated in an internship program with Eastern Bank Limited in 2016 and her project was an EBL-commerce growth opportunity in Bangladesh.

20-year-old Faraaz was finishing his undergraduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Faraaz was posthumously given the Mother Teresa Memorial International Award for Social Justice for refusing to leave his friends Tarishi Jain and Abinta Kabir even though the attackers offered him a chance to leave. All three were murdered during the Holey café attack.

33-year-old Simona was seven months pregnant at the time of the attack. Her plans were to return to Italy soon to deliver her child. Simona spoke four languages and had previously lived and worked in Peru, China, France and Spain.

Marco was the father of a six year-old daughter. Marco was a young businessman in the textile sector of Cordovado (Pordenone) who worked for StudioTex Limited.

52-year-old Nadia was an Italian National in Bangladesh on business. Nadia was the managing director of Studiotex, a garment manufacturing company with a branch office in Bangladesh.

45-year-old Ishrat was the Human Resources Director for the Institute of Asian Creatives in Dhaka. She was know by many to be a happy and joyful person.

Vincenzo lived near Naples, Italy with his wife, Maria. They were married for 23 years.

47-year-old Cristian was the father of three year-old twin girls. He was in Bangledesh on business and had to delay his trip home to Italy.

Claudia 56, was a managing director with an Italian textile company. She lived in Dhaka for twenty years with her husband who survived the attack. Claudia was also a trained paramedic a first-responder in the 80s Irpina earthquake.

Maria, 33, lived in Soza Italy. She was in Bangledash on an extended business trip. Maria was married and had a three-year-old daughter.

Adele, 50 was from Catiana, Italy. She was in Bangledash on business. She was meeting with other business associates when the attack took place.

Claudio, 45, was an Italian citizen. He worked in Bangledesh for a textile company. He was excited about his job and enjoyed working in Bangledesh.
